Each year, the NEA Foundation and Horace Mann Educators Foundation recognize five outstanding public school teachers who make a lasting difference through their dedication to students, colleagues, and their communities.
Each honoree will be featured in a mini-documentary premiering at the NEA Foundation Salute to Excellence in Education Gala on February 13, 2026, and will receive an award from the Horace Mann Educators Foundation.

Over the past week, our staff has been preparing, training, and collaborating. The energy and excitement in the room reflected our shared mission: supporting every student.
