Superintendent's Message

Hello Granger School District Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the Granger School District where it is our mission to educate all students to meet high academic standards by engaging them in rigorous and relevant learning, fostering well-rounded lifelong capabilities including self-confidence, communication and leadership.

In our district, we are committed to the success of your child and know that our schools can’t do it alone. Research shows that when families partner with schools, student achievement increases. That’s why we need your help to ensure your child is achieving at high levels and that school is a safe, productive learning environment. We would like you to partner with us in the following ways:
  • Have conversations with your child about being positive and productive inside and outside of the classroom. You play an important role in establishing and supporting high expectations for behaviors for your children while they are in school.
  • Encourage your child to attend school every day. When our students aren’t at school, they miss out on important learning to help them be successful at school. A student who misses 10 days or more during a school year is 20 percent less likely to graduate from high school and 25 percent less likely to ever enroll in college.
  • Connect with our schools and your child’s teachers.  Communicating with the school to monitor your child’s progress can help to ensure they stay on track and don’t fall behind.
Together, we can work to make our mission a reality for each student.  Thank you for your support of our district and students.
Sincerely,

Brian Hart, Ed.D.
Superintendent

Show us your Mask

The Yakima Health District reports show that 65% of Yakima County residents are out and about unmasked. They also say that wearing masks reduce the potential for spreading the COVID virus. If we want to reopen our schools in the fall, we all need to do our part to #stopthespread Click here to upload a picture of you or your student wearing a mask.
