Johnson O'Malley (JOM)/Title VI Indian Education
The Johnson O'Malley (JOM) Program is a federal program that provides educational assistance to Native American students. Established under the Johnson-O'Malley Act of April 16, 1934, this law provides supplemental funding and services to support Native American students in public schools. JOM funds help with tutoring, school supplies, cultural enrichment, and academic support, ensuring students have the resources needed to succeed.

Title VI Indian Education funding helps school districts support the academic and cultural needs of Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian students. This funding allows schools to provide culturally relevant instruction, language programs, and resources that enhance student success. Schools collaborate with Native families and tribal communities to develop programs that honor Native heritage while improving educational outcomes.
