LOGIN TO YOUR FINALFORMS ACCOUNT AND VERIFY ALL INFORMATION IS CORRECT
COMPLETE REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
1. CPR/First Aid
2. Complete required NFHS courses (Concussion Management, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, ETC)
3. Boundary Invasion Review- Read and understand GSD Policy & Procedure 5253
4. All Required Vector Trainings
5. Complete background check (if new to the district)
6. Complete Volunteer Packet (Required Every School Year if Volunteer Coach)

	HEAD COACH	ASSISTANT COACH
PRE-SEASON	Review handbook and GSD expectations Finalize schedule (with Athletic Director) Attend and Conduct GSD Seasonal Parent Meeting Review Roster on Final Forms Ensure all coaches are cleared Meet with Athletic Director to review program direction and expectations for upcoming season. Work with Athletic Director to hire and onboard assistant coaches. Meet with Assistant Coaches to review program direction and expectations for upcoming season. Ensure Volunteers have filled out all required paperwork and are approved before attending practices/competitions. Inventory of Jerseys and Equipment Bring Any Safety Concerns to Athletic Director Develop and communicate practice plans and season calendar Assign roles/responsibilities to assistant coaches	Review handbook and GSD expectations Attend GSD Seasonal Parent Meeting Support preseason setup Meet with Head Coach to review program direction and expectations for upcoming season. If a Volunteer -- Filled out all required paperwork and wait to be approved before attending practices/competitions. Bring Any Safety Concerns to Head Coach and/or Athletic Director Assist with equipment and practice setup Take ownership of assigned athlete groups or skill areas
IN SEASON	Supervise athletes at all times Follow safety protocols Maintain professional communication Monitor eligibility weekly Communicate with families Oversee all practices and games Conduct academic check-ins for at-risk athletes Provide weekly practice plans to coaching staff Track athlete attendance and engagement Delegate tasks to Assistant Coach(es). If student is injured, complete accident injury report.	Supervise athletes at all times Follow safety protocols Maintain professional communication Lead drills and small group instruction Monitor assigned athletes’ behavior, effort, and academics Provide feedback to Head Coach on athlete progress
GAME DAY	Ensure athlete eligibility EMAIL Gameday Roster Morning of Competition to ghscommunications@gsd.wednet.edu Delegate tasks to Assistant Coach(es). Create an "Gameday" Itinerary (Leave/Return, Meal Stop, etc.) Supervise athletes at all times Follow safety protocols Maintain professional communication Assign supervision responsibilities (locker room, bus, sidelines) Confirm travel logistics, roster accuracy, and emergency contacts Lead pre- and post-game communication	Support daily operations Reinforce expectations Supervise athletes at all times Follow safety protocols Maintain professional communication Manage bench, equipment, and athlete transitions Assist with travel supervision Support implementation of game plan and adjustments
POST SEASON	Collect equipment and Jerseys Complete Inventory Complete reflection Analyze season data (eligibility, participation, performance trends) Set program goals and improvement plan for next season Meet with Athletic Director for Feedback and Evaluation Work with Athletic Director for Assistant Coach Evaluation and feedback.
