Granger School District Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports

Granger School District is committed to creating a positive learning environment for staff and students. Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a top priority for the GSD because it provides consistent alignment of expectations and support for our students district-wide. PBIS is a process for creating safer, more effective schools by reinforcing positive behavior and preventing and addressing problem behavior. PBIS is implemented in three tiers. Tier 1 focuses on setting and teaching behavioral expectations in all areas of the school including the playground, hallway, bus and classroom. Tier 2 and Tier 3 allow educators to focus more closely on the needs of groups or individual students. Throughout the process, data is collected on student behavior. This data is then used by administrators and each school’s PBIS leadership team to identify and more effectively implement the practices that are right for their school.

Intervenciones y Apoyos de comportamiento positivo del distrito escolar de Granger

El distrito escolar de Granger está comprometido a crear un ambiente positivo de aprendizaje para el personal y los estudiantes. Intervenciones y Apoyos de Comportamiento Positivo (PBIS) es una prioridad para el distrito escolar porque proporciona alineación constante de expectativas y apoyo para nuestros estudiantes en todo el distrito. PBIS es un proceso para crear escuelas más seguras y efectivas reforzando el comportamiento positivo y comportamiento que causa problemas. PBIS se implementa en tres niveles. El nivel 1 se centra en la configuración y enseñar expectativas de comportamiento en todas las áreas de la escuela, incluyendo el patio de recreo, el pasillo, el autobús y el salón de clases. Los niveles 2 y 3 permiten educadores de enfocarse más de cerca en las necesidades de grupos o individuos estudiantes. A lo largo del proceso, se recopilan datos sobre el comportamiento de los estudiantes.  Estos datos son utilizados por los administradores y el equipo de liderazgo de  PBIS de cada escuela para identificar e implementar de manera más efectiva las prácticas que sean adecuados para su escuela.
